When the built-in flash of your Canon digital SLR camera just doesn't have enough power, or if you simply want to improve the overall quality of your photos, a separate, high-power flash unit is an essential accessory. With the Nissin Speedlite Di622, you'll get even flash coverage, full E-TTL / E-TTL II functionality, bounce flash capability and much more, all for an affordable price!
The features begin with the Di622's "Clip & Shoot" compatibility with nearly any Canon digital SLR (see chart below). Simply clip it to the camera, switch it on, fire the shutter, and the flash automatically syncs with the camera for complete E-TTL / E-TTL II functionality. Once your flash is set up, it can be used for countless applications... use it to light up a dark room, reduce shadows, eliminate red-eye, capture fast-moving subjects, or even use as an off-camera fill flash to bring extra impact to your subjects.
In addition to fully automatic TTL (which controls the amount of light with amazing precision and stability), this flash unit also covers a wide range, from 14mm (with built-in wide angle diffuser) to 70mm. The Di622's bounce flash feature allows it to be tilted 90 degrees upward and 270 degrees horizontally, and a built-in bounce panel is ideal for filling in shadows. Other features include wireless slave capability for more creative lighting applications, an energy saving system that helps keep batteries from draining, variable power settings, an autofocus assist beam, and a flash power lock system (FE lock for Canon).

Firmware 2.0.4 Malfunction - VIDEO # 2: Firmware 2.0.4 for Canon 5D Mark II is really a GREAT update, but we found a malfunction related to iris/aperture that occurs with some lenses. We CONFIRMED this issue with the Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro USM lens. It was tested and confirmed by several users, with several copies and several camera bodies, it is not an isolated lens or camera problem. DESCRIPTION: This video shows how the IRIS/diaphragm of this lens "jitters" (it can also be HEARD) when the user manually rotates the focus ring and the camera is in FULL MANUAL mode for movie (M + Live View mode set to "Still+Movie - Movie Display"). This IRIS jitter affects the image being recorded on video. This strange behavior prevents the use of this great lens for serious movie/video purposes, making the footage unusable. NOTES: 1- The settings described above are the correct ones to have "full manual control" on movie/video mode. So the IRIS jitter (nor any kind of iris change) should NOT happen in this situation, and in fact it does NOT happen in Firmware version 1.1.0. 2- Please note that the aperture value on the camera's LCD monitor is always kept at the same value (3.2), and the user does NOT change it. In this video we ONLY changed focus. 3- You can also watch the Video # 1 which shows what can be seen on the camera's LCD monitor during this process: www.youtube.com VERY IMPORTANT: - We use Canon gear and we love this camera. That's why we try to do our best in the most ...
